On Palm Sunday, we had a Community Penitential Service and a talk by Diocese of Daet Bishop, Rex Andrew Alarcon on “Ina and our Repentance”. Via Crucis and a talk by the Archdiocese of Caceres Rolando Octavus J. Tria Tirona, where he discussed “Ina and Our Way of the Cross” were the activities during Holy Monday. On Holy Tuesday, Divine Mercy Chaplet was recited and we listened to a talk by Fr. Pablo Carpio  on “Ina and our Paschal Triduum”. Replays from Holy Week activities from the Archdiocese of Caceres were shared during the Zoom meetings from Holy Wednesday(Chrism Mass), Holy Thursday(Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper) and Good Friday (Siete Palabras and Celebration of the Lord’s Passion). Holy Saturday was an anticipated Easter Mass presided over by Fr. Pablo. On Easter Sunday, the Rector of the Basilica Msgr Rodel M. Tia Dory Tribute-1.png

Two of our most valued members unfortunately passed away this year, Adoracion Lopo-Peña and Lilibeth Credo-Foster. Both were given an Online Tribute, attended by their own families and friends from the UBLA. A special program intended to honor their lives as our way of saying thank you to their contribution to our community and organization and also as an expression of our love for them. There were tears shed, stories reminisced, memories recalled, music shared and unending prayers for them even though they have gone to the everlasting life with the Lord.

Rolando Clarin. We are grateful that after missing lots of events due to the pandemic, we were able to celebrate the Peñafrancia de Mayo and shout joyfully “Viva la Virgen, Viva Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia!”
